The Orchestra is looking for classical guitarists to join us. If you’re interested, you’ll need to be at a minimum of around Grade 5 standard, and able to attend our rehearsals in Histon on Thursday evenings.
If you’re a guitar teacher, and think that one or more of your students might be interested, please get in touch!
We’ll be inviting new guitarists to join either in January to take part in the BMG Festival in Glasgow, or March to prepare for our next concert programme.

Well that went well. After a morning of heavy rain, the skies over Ipswich Music Festival blossomed in time for our double performance at The Wolsey Gallery in Christchurch Mansion.
We were joined on stage by Suffolk Tango dancers for Por Una Cabeza which went down a storm with the audience.
We adjusted the second programme a bit to fit in the longer Alma Brasiliera which yielded calls of “encore”. So something right.
Rod’s bass was also singled out by our host for outstanding performance. (But don’t tell him, it will go to his head).
Outside the pop music kicked, the ice-cream and doughnuts were gobbled and Suffolk enjoyed the rest of a splendid day.
Well done folks and special thanks to maestra Anna and organiser Domonique.
We have now picked up our tickets from the ADC Box Office, so internet purchase is now closed . You can still get tickets on the door on the night, or via Muriel Porter.
A great last rehearsal. Very excited about Saturday’s gig.
Rehearsals are well under way for our gig with Daniela Rossi. Here is a quick snap.
If you are a guitar teacher with pupils eager to be involved in playing with an orchestra maybe you could get in contact with us. We currently have space for some interested parties.
