We had originally planned for our first post-lockdown concert to take place at Histon Baptist Church, and were all anxiously reading the ever-changing and very confusing guidance as to whether such an event would be possible. In the end the church decided to take a cautious line and did not give the go-ahead for the event.
Many thanks to a neighbour, Christine, for the kind offer to have an outdoor concert in her garden instead. This was a real godsend. A good number of the group were able to come, it managed not to rain, and we even had a small audience. It felt so good to be able to do such a simple thing as give a performance together! We played a number of pieces from our back catalogue and gave a first outing to “Fascination” and our own arrangement of “Tu vuo fa l’americano“.
