It was great to return to St Luke’s Church for an evening devoted entirely to plucked string music. MMO played the first half and our guests for the 2nd half were the Mezzacapo Ensemble, led by Stuart McGowan who has played with the MMO in the past, and featuring another old friend, Rob Garcia. It was great to meet the other 2 members of the group – Bradley Johnson and Jamie McRae.
Our performance was recorded by local sound engineer Geoffrey Smallwood (one or two of the pieces will appear on our CD which will be ready in Autumn 2023). We liked the sound so much that we chose the venue for our “studio recording session” the following term.
